During my trip to Amsterdam, Netherlands, I came across many canals similar to the canal found on the Newton Street site in Stretford.
It was fascinating to see how people interacted with the canals, whether they rode across the bridges on a bike or a car, attached their bike to the canal railings or travelled on a boat along the waterways.
I was particularly interested to see how differently people viewed the canal when sitting down, compared with travelling over them.
